Nike Music Shoe

"the japanese DJ duo hifana transformed nike’s new flexible free run+ running shoes into musical instruments for this japanese promotional video. the video shows the duo setting up the shoes to act as sound triggers so that when flexed, the shoes create a pre-determined sound. the shoes were outfitted with audio plugs and hooked up to a sampler. after working out the sounds and practicing, hifana is ready for a final piece. in this final performance the duo literally play the shoes, bending and twisting them to create a fully developed song. the video showcases the group’s sound and the flexibility of nike’s new sneakers. the project was developed by wieden + kennedy, tokyo." -DesignBoom
